Rogers rolls out eSIM back up for business customers on BYOD plans

According to a Rogers community forum mail service, as of March 25th, 2019, concern customers tin can activate the eSIM portion of their qualifying iPhone with Rogers. This allows them to have two lines on i device and apply the physical SIM slot for other carriers.

Additionally, Rogers notes that information technology has updated its Rogers Straight service with the eSIM option for BYOD activation orders.

If you want ane of these devices on contract with the carrier, you'll still need a physical SIM card.

Unfortunately, if you've got an Android device that supports eSIM, Rogers doesn't support it. The community forum mail notes that Rogers can't guarantee comprehensive technical back up, that feature volition work as intended or that information technology will have specific plans for your device if you lot try to activate an unsupported eSIM telephone.

Interestingly, Apple's carrier back up page doesn't list Rogers equally an eSIM supporter. Information technology does, however, list Fido as supporting eSIM, even though the carrier has been song that it doesn't actually back up the feature.
